Alex brought in "Animalia" by Graeme Base and Hunter brought in "Duckies Rainbow" by Frances Barry. The children laughed when I was reading the Animalia book as it was a bit of a tongue twister. Hunter helped me to hold the book and turn the page when we were reading his book. The children enjoyed sharing their favourite books from home and dressing up in their costumes.

Service Philosophy

WE VALUE PLAY BASED LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS  Play based learning is the foundation of our curriculum  Play allows children to explore, discover, negotiate, take risks, create meaning and problem solve  We value children's rights and choices  We are responsive to the interests and abilities of all children  We provide hands on learning opportunities where children can explore, experiment and deepen their knowledge and understanding of the world we live in  We believe children's learning is enhanced through social interactions and engagement  We provide a supportive, fun and stimulating environment  We value flexible, open ended learning environments  We allow children to be in the moment  We use the environment as a third teacher

Interpretation

CRITICAL REFLECTION: I love reading and always have a book on the go- so this week I can share a love of reading this week during book week (and everyday). The educators have planned different themes to dress up this week and the children can dress up in their own choice. Alex and Hunter were happy to share their books with their peers.
