Chalk Drawing - 21st January 2022
Spontaneous: Today when the Joeys were outside I asked the children who would like to do some chalk drawing. Jenayah got really excited and said" me". So I went and got the chalk and took it back outside when I opened it all the children came over and were eager to get a piece of chalk. As they were taking the chalk I asked Jenayah, Nevaeh, Marlee, Pilar, Isaiah what colour chalk they chose. Jenayah said" green" Nevaeh attempted to say the colour yellow, Marlee said " pink" Isaiah just looked at me. As the children were drawing I talked about the colour of chalk they were drawing with. Hunter, Lucas, Huda, Elijah, Aarvi, Elya all looked at me and then continued to draw on the ground. I talked to the children about what they were drawing. I said " It looks like a rainbow" and Jenayah nodded. After the children were finished drawing Hunter went and collected all the chalk one piece at a time off the children and brought it over to me and placed it in the container.

Interpretation
Critical Reflection I was able to provide the children with a open ended activity. I was able to use intentional teaching by talking about the colours of the chalk the children were using. I was also able to encourage both verbal and non verbal responses to my questions that I was asking. Follow up: Drawing.
