Easter Craft - 31st March 2022
Planned: Today we started on our Easter craft where the children decorated baskets. I sat the children down at the table . Jenayah , Nevaeh and Nathan came and sat down first. I asked the children what colour paper they would like they had a selection of colours to chose from. Jenayah and Nevaeh both chose pink and Nathan chose green. I explained to the children they had to colour their Easter basket first with pencils and then I gave them a choice of stickers they could use to stick onto their basket. When the three children had finished Hunter, Aarvi and Pilar came to sit down at the table. I gave the children a choice of what colour they would like Hunter and Aarvi both chose Orange. The children picked up the coloured pencils and proceeded to colour in their baskets. I asked the children if they would like some stickers. Aarvi said "Rabbit" so I gave her a rabbit sticker and she stuck it on then Hunter wanted some stickers too. I gave him stickers one at a time and showed him how to stick the stickers on he basket Hunter did need some help with the stickers. Pilar asked for some stickers too and stuck them onto her Easter basket. Once the children had finished Elya sat herself down and then with some encouragement I convinced Kavith to come over and join us at the table to decorated his Easter basket. Once the children had finished their Easter baskets they went off to play and we went and joined the Possums in their yard.

EYLF Outcomes
Outcomes: 4: Children are confident and involved learners Elements: 4.1 Children develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity. The children used their creativity to decorate their Easter baskets the way they wanted too.
Theorists
Vygotsky believed that creativity is something that exists in all people, including very young children. Imagination was also considered to be an integral part of creativity through its ability to support the production of new combinations of per-constructed things.
Interpretation
Critical reflectionI was able to provide an activity that used the children's creative skills and I was able to scaffold their learning by showing them how to stick on stickers. I was also able to support the younger children with the craft when they needed help. Follow up Continue with Easter craft
