Learning the Alphabet - 7th July 2022

Spontaneous: Today at group time Massa(educator) got out the magnetic Alphabet letters and a magnetic board. We gathered all the children and got them to sit on the mat. Then Massa started to put the letters on the board as she was doing this Massa was saying the letters and getting the children to repeat the letter. Kavith, Hunter , Mila, Elya paid close attention to the learning experience. Hunter, Elya tried to repeat the letters as Massa was saying them. Lucas and Nathan was also paying close attention and after a few letters Lucas started to also try and repeat the letters. Ezekaiah, Jack.V, Elijah, Jayden were sitting and listening and looking at what Massa was doing. After the group time was finished Massa left the letters on the bench outside and Jayden and Elya went over to the letters and started to place the letters on the magnetic board. Jayden was holding the letter I and I asked Jayden what the letter was and Jayden replied "I" and then Elya also said "I" as well. They both continued to to place the letters on the magnetic board. As both Elya and Jayden were placing the letters I was saying the letters and Elya and Jayden repeated some of the letters. After a short while I asked the children if they would help me to pack it away as it was ready for rest time.
