Sleeping Children - 21st April 2022
Today when the Joeys arrived and we played in the Possums room with the blocks, playdough and home corner. At 9:30am we had group time and Massa read a kindness book we discussed how to be kind with our friends. After group time we put on some sunscreen then we went outside to play in the Possums yard the Joeys kept busy by playing in the sandpit, playing on the sea saw, climbing equipment and we also started on making our mother's day craft. Each of the Joey children a couple at a time came and sat with Sandra to do their craft. Nevaeh, Jenayah, Lucas, Eyla, Aravi, Pilar, Jayden, Hunter, Nathan needed no encouragement to come and sit down when it was his turn to do craft, Elijah and Elliot needed some encouragement to come over and do their craft After they had finished it was time for a little more free play then we had group time and Massa read another book to the children then it was time for the Joeys to get ready for lunch and wash their hands. The children came and sat back down and had lunch and after lunch the children transitioned from the possums yard to the Joeys room for rest time they all sat down and the educators helped the children to take their shoes off and find their beds. After all this play this morning the children were quite happy to lay on their beds for the sleep time.

We value flexible, open ended learning environmentsWe provide a supportive, fun and stimulating environment
Critical reflection. As the educator I was able to provide open ended learning experiences which allowed the children the freedom of choice. It was nice to see the children interact with the older children in the Possums room. Follow up Continue with our special mothers day craft
