Tuesday morning play in the Joey yard - 19th April 2022

This morning the Joey children enjoyed the beautiful sunshine outdoors. On the tables I set up some activities for the children to enjoy they ranged from scratch art to stickers and drawing. Jenayah, Pilar, Neveah and Marlee went first I handed the children their pieces of scratch art and they immediately started to scratch with Jenayah saying" Look " pointing to her piece. Marlee enjoyed the stickers asking for more stickers for her work. Elijah came over and he loved the scratch art using the pencil to scratch his piece. Nathan did a good job but then decided to screw it up and try to eat it. Lucas and Elya loved their art showing their Educators their work.when they finished. Elliot loved using the brush for his work ,while Hunter loved the stickers asking for more each time. After the art the children went over to the sandpit where they dug and sometimes would throw some sand but did listen when asked to stop. The children were really good at sharing the utensil's with each other. Then we had a workman came to the side garden to do some mowing the children really liked this and were eager to watch his progress. Kylie sat the children away enough for the children to see but not get hurt. We asked the children who did the mowing at their home. Marlee yelled out my Daddy does. Jenayah said Mummy and Daddy do it. My Daddy does said Lucas pointing to the man. Isaiah also said his Dad did the lawns. It was funny as when the man started the edger they put their hands to their ears saying too loud.

EYLF Outcomes

Outcomes: 1: Children have a strong sense of identity Elements: 1.1 Children feel safe, secure, and supported. As the children were carrying out each activity I was there to support the children in what they needed.

Service Philosophy

We believe children's learning is enhanced through social interactions and engagement. We provide a supportive, fun and stimulating environment

Interpretation

Critical Reflection: I was able to set up the environment with lots of craft for the children to use anyway they desired and then enabled them to have some free play where they interacted well with each other. As the educator I was able to provide a stimulating environment and encouraged their verbal communication skills by asking questions. Follow up: Continue to do arts and crafts.
